Call it lathering for a cause: 100 percent of the proceeds from Philosophy’s WhyHunger To Believe Charity Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath go to help those in need. Singer Jackie Evancho has pledged her support, adding lyrics to the packaging. We caught up with her to hear more.

Tell us about the charity WhyHunger. How did you get involved?
WhyHunger works to end hunger and poverty by connecting people to healthy, affordable food and encouraging people to help locally on a grassroots level. I like that it helps many communities around the country, not just in one city.

What are you looking forward to most about Thanksgiving?
I love Thanksgiving because the whole family gets together. Everyone comes home from wherever they are and we spend the day cooking and having fun and enjoying the huge turkey my pap gets each year!

What makes the Holiday season extraordinary for you?
The holiday season is a magical time—and a time for giving.

Will you be gifting friends and family with the Philosophy To Believe Bath & Shower Gel?
Definitely. I love the scent and think it’s a pretty color, especially for the holidays. Also, it’s nice to know that buying it helps someone in need. I feel good about that.
